Story telling has always been at the heart of my illustrations, each of my pieces have a narrative often influenced by folk tale, myth and fable.
I employ mixed media techniques, a combination of pattern, drawing and collage to create my visual language.
Since completing my MA in Children's Book illustration at The Cambridge School of Art
I have worked in industry as a surface pattern designer and exhibited widely.
I now find myself returning to where it all began for me, to children's book illustration. In 2017 I was a finalist in the House of Illustration book illustration competition, "Illustrating Jane Austen." In addition, I was thrilled to be selected for the Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators biennial exhibition, "Pictures at Play", 2017. And feel honoured to have won a place in the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices Competition 2018.
You will find me hiking the Peak District- woolly hatted and booted- in search of interesting characters and landscapes, or trawling second hand book shops looking for hidden gems.
Thank you for visiting my website, I hope you enjoy it.
